Background:The Lawrence Journal-World named Jake to the Class 4A All-State 2009 squad and the 2009 All-Area first team. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Moore finished the season with a 8-0 record on the mound and was among the league leaders in several pitching categories. In addition, he tossed 43.1 innings, recorded 71 strikeouts - against just 14 walks - and surrendered 20 hits and 13 earned runs. Moore will spend the spring with Johnson County Community College before heading to Topeka this summer.
