Background:Aaron was a member of the 2009 Class 6A State Champion Lawrence high school baseball team and was named the 2009 Sunflower League player of the year, All-Sunflower League first team selection, selected to the Class 6A All-state team and named to the 2009 All-Area first team by the Lawrence Journal-World. In addition to leading the Lawrence High in average (.433), hits (29), runs scored (28) and stolen bases (17), he was tied for the lead in home runs, with four, and finished with a .553 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .650. Rea will join the Golden Giants after playing for Cowley County Community College this spring.
