Former Golden Giant Drew Biery and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes outlasted the Tri-City Dust Devils, 2-1, in a 13-inning marathon contest that secured the Volcanoes the Northwest League title.After losing the first game in the best-of-5 set, the short-season San Francisco Giants affiliate posted back-to-back wins before Thursday's win secured the team's fifth title in the last decade. They also rallied to the crown past Tri-City for the second time in three years. Biery had 4 hits, 2 doubles, a home run, two walks, and struck out twice in 17 at bats in 4 games. He tallied a .316 On Base Percentage and a .471 Slugging Percentage giving him an OPS of .786 while hitting .235 in the Championship series.
